THE BEERS
Millstone crafts well-rounded full bodied beers using traditional malt and fresh whole hops. Our beers are typically pale in colour, heavily late hopped for a full hop aroma and have a delicately balanced bitterness to suit most palates.
Since launching the brewery with just two beers the range has extended to include five pale beers and a stout. We also brew occasional specials so keep your eyes peeled.
TRUE GRIT

A very pale and hoppy strong ale. Well hopped using Chinook hops; a mellow bitter makes way for a distinctive citrus/grapefruit aroma. The ‘big brother’ to Tiger Rut.

TIGER RUT

A very pale and hoppy ale. Using Chinook hops, a mellow bitter makes way for a distinctive citrus/grapefruit aroma. Tiger Rut is Millstone’s most popular beer and is the ‘little brother’ of True Grit. Little known fact:
'Tiger Rut' is an anagram of 'True Grit'.

STOUT

A traditional Stout; the English Phoenix and Goldings hops provide a smooth bitterness as well as subtle hints of treacle in the aroma.

VALE MILL
​
A pale gold session bitter. The Cascade and Goldings hops combine to provide a refreshing aroma, all balanced with a smooth bitter finish.

​
A golden premium bitter. Full hop aroma with crisp floral/citrus notes followed by a balanced dry bitter finish.

THREE SHIRES BITTER
​
A very pale hoppy bitter. Full hop aroma with a crisp fruity taste followed by a smooth bitter finish. The first Millstone beer to be released, its name derived from Mossley’s location where the three counties of Cheshire, Lancashire and Yorkshire meet.

TRINNACLE
