Millstone is brewing its True Grit pale ale once again as the anticipation for the re-opening of pubs is felt.
True Grit, a 5% pale ale and the big brother to Tiger Rut, has been a popular beer for off-sales bag-in-box orders during the lock-down.
True Grit was first brewed in 2005 and was well received, also winning Bradford Beer Festival and voted best overall beer. Requests came for a lower strength yet similar tasting beer and shortly following Tiger Rut, a 4% pale ale, was first brewed in 2006. Tiger Rut quickly became Millstones' most popular beer. However, its creation is owed to True Grit and good feedback from customers. True Grit balances a distinctive citrus/grapefruit aroma with a moreish full bodied taste.
A little known fact: 'Tiger Rut' is an anagram of 'True Grit'
